qr_bench / Privacy

Your benchmark stays
on your Mac.

Diegoware’s privacy policy for the qr_bench app and this website.

Last updated:

The app does not collect or transmit personal information, analytics or benchmark results to Diegoware. It has no accounts, advertising, tracking or background network services.

Information used on your Mac

qr_bench generates numerical matrices and uses Apple’s Accelerate framework to measure QR decomposition performance and check numerical accuracy. It reads basic public system information: Mac model, chip description where available, macOS version, memory capacity, processor counts and app version. This information is used locally to describe your benchmark.

The app does not read your serial number or a unique device identifier. It does not ask you to select personal files or upload data.

Results and storage

Benchmark matrices and results are held in memory. Detailed results are replaced when you start another benchmark and are cleared when you close the app. The most recent completed summary remains available until you close the app, including while a subsequent run is active, cancelled or unsuccessful. The app does not maintain a saved benchmark history.

Copying and sharing a summary

When you select Copy Summary, the app writes plain text to the macOS clipboard. That text includes available machine information, benchmark settings, QR timing, performance and numerical error statistics. Copying does not send the text to Diegoware.

You decide whether and where to paste it. The clipboard is managed by macOS and may remain populated after the app closes. macOS features such as Universal Clipboard, if enabled, may make clipboard content available on your other devices. Any app or service into which you paste the text handles it under its own privacy practices.

This website and external links

The Diegoware website uses no analytics scripts, advertising trackers or cookies. It is hosted using Amazon Web Services. Hosting providers process ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses and requested pages, to deliver and protect the website.

The app’s support and privacy links open in your web browser. Visiting a website involves network requests from that browser; it does not upload your benchmark results. Your browser, operating system and services you choose to use have their own privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the app’s or website’s information handling changes. The date above identifies the current policy.
